it very much depends on how you did it and how AA processed it in terms of whether you would get credited the higher tps.

i think strictly the position for AA pougs is that you are not entitled to higher cabin tps. as the wiki notes, it does seem via the app should give higher tps as it does formally get reticketed/revalidated in a higher selling class. however, that is quite a recent change and previously you always got the lower tps regardless how you did your aa poug.
