Outside of companion pass bookings and children booked on seperate reservations, I don't think WN has a concept of "linking" two seperate PNRs for the purpose of issuing sequential boarding positions.

For this to work seamlessly, you have to cancel the first reservation and book both passengers in the same new reservation. Or just board at different times. Or pay for early boarding.
