I've noticed fewer upgrades since the pandemic, so I was excited to get an email a couple days ago announcing an upgrade for an upcoming trip to a Hampton! When I checked to see what the upgrade was, it was to a room with exactly the same rate as the one I'd booked! Instead of a King Bed/Tub, I was getting a King Bed (No tub). I will ask when I arrive exactly why this is an upgrade, but if it's the same rate, it seems like a "sidegrade" to me!
