HP is probably the sub-brand I spend the majority of my nights and I can't ever imagine wanting to eat lunch or dinner prepared by the kitchen at any of the properties at which I've stayed. If push came to shove, I would order food to be delivered (DoorDash, Uber Eats, etc.) over something a HP could offer, points be damned. It's a (hopefully) clean bed in a convenient location with a free breakfast that I will sometime eat. I don't expect it to be anything more than that.
