My experience has been that you’re out of luck, I’m afraid. You get whatever you paid for as part of your original ticket, anything else doesn’t carry over (as it’s not part of your ticket fare).

If you want the status benefits, call BA and ask for a rebooking onto another BA or indeed OneWorld flight. Otherwise it’s hard to see how they owe you anything.
