I have a Centurion card from the region. I am about to cancel it.
It doesn't work for me. Most of the benefits - travel, hotels, lounges, insurances, car rental etc all are at par with prestige or infinite cards form MC/V
Acceptance in UAE is very limited. The team is trying very hard to increase the merchant base, but there are so many issues...even the ones who are on board find a reason to not accept it...."machine is not working"....
It doesn't work in Europe at all...Merchant acceptance there is almost non-existent
The MR points per dollar is less than half of what you can get with Citi or ENBD
The centurion events are almost non-existent. Last year we had two and both were pretty meh.
There is a $500 Mr Porter credit that lightens the load on the annual fees...but you have to force yourself to use it
The discounts on the business class flights are negligible - almost non-usable..you can find better deals online
The discounts on first class are the only redeeming feature of the card...but I don't use that much
Finally, the dedicated Conceirge was my main reason to continue for the last few years.....
Unfortunately, can't justify it anymore.
I get almost all of the same features with platinum with the exception of Mr Porter discount, dedicated concierge and centurion events.

Overall, doesn't compare well at all to the US, UK or Australian product.

I'm working on moving to Dubai from the UK, and considering portion my UK Cent to UAE - but wanted to understand the benefits of the UAE card before making that decision.

Terrible value for money. The fees is correct. 4K+4K.
The MR locally is 2MR per dollar and 1MR for international. We use MRs mostly for airlines and in those cases it is almost half the value when compared to Citi, ADCB or ENBD rewards,
