I recommend Empellon, too, at 53rd and Madison, though calling it a taqueria is understating it. . I thoroughly enjoyed it. For a large city, it's generally considered lacking in good Mexican food overall. (Mexicans aren't nearly the large groups in NYC like Puerto Ricans and Dominicans are.)
