You will struggle coming into Colombo from the west outside of oneworld airlines. Saudia used to fly to Colombo but that doesn't appear to be on the schedule anymore.

Your best bet would be to find a flight on Virgin Atlantic to BOM or DEL with a connecting flight on another carrier to CMB.
