Even the upscale lines like Celebrity cut a ton, and the experience feels more like Royal in terms of service and food, but still without the kids or awesome physical activities. Their "Classic" drinks package is nearly worthless now, as it's still at "$9 per drink" as it was 7 years ago, but everything but a well drink costs more than that now. It's all about the upsells, even 'premium' options in the main dining room.
They've all cut back a lot since the pandemic. Even the upscale lines like Regent, Seabourn, Silversea, etc. don't offer nearly as much as they used to. I'd be willing to bet if they were able to figure out how, some cruise lines, especially the mainstream ones, would get on the airline idea of basic economy. Frankly, I think it will only get worse and will probably never get better. It's always going to be a "you get what you pay for" kind of market.
