When flying to and from FNC, always allow a day or 2 of buffer if you have a connecting flight to catch or something important to attend... I'm not saying it's every day but it's frequent enough to make you stress over nothing if not planned accordingly. Even TP can't land or take off when wind gusts are too strong. You can see flights diverted to Porto Santo nearby, or even the Canary islands.
