I would reply to them pointing out that you are claiming expenses, not compensation. Ask them to reconsider, and if they won't then for them to confirm it's their final answer, at which point you can take the case to CEDR.

This. I learned the hard way not to include too many elements in one claim, or what it was actually about. Tried to do compensation, expenses, partial refund for downgrade and ORC in one thing and I had to unpick it via 6 more emails and phone calls.
You might have gotten the person who just clicks the 'no' option because they
assumed you were after compensation and they'd turned down lots of similar ones.
