INTL-to-INTL (HY-to-KC) transfer in Almaty (ALA)...
Greetings! Haven't had much luck with this in the Destinations/Asia forum, so I thought I'd try here as well.
Anyone have experience connecting international-to-international in Almaty (ALA) with the new Terminal 2? More specifically... TAS-ALA on Uzbekistan Airways arriving T2... then ALA-BKK on Air Astana departing T2... 2 hour layover. Just curious if there's a sterile transfer/transit area... or do I need to do 'enter' Kazakhstan, re-enter the airport, go through security, and 'exit' Kazakhstan? I realize it's not a gigantic airport, just wondering what to expect before booking.
