Good idea re easyJet. I'll check that in a few days. It would take too long to get to BVA (though there is a 11PM to BXN). I have a big work event the night of the 19th in central Paris that I can't miss. So I probably can't even think about anything before 11PM from CDG or ORY. I'm not seeing anything from ORY at the moment either.

That 45 minute St-Pancras to Euston connection seems a but risky IMO.

While the morning AF flight arrives MAN at 11:50a, it should be doable despite MAN being one of the worst and most disorganized airports in the UK world.
Yes the 9:40pm and 10:20 are too early, sadly. The 11:50 arrival is doable but I'm worried about airport delays. I think I could book the later Avanti segment just for cushion. Get something to eat in between. To lower stress level.

The biggest issue is that a full Eurostar train can take several minutes for passengers just to be able to clear the platform at STP and enter the public areas of STP.

But what isn't known at the moment is whether there will be any engineering works next July affecting Eurostar and / or Avanti.

UK rail engineerign works are usually punlished around 12 weeks before so for a July weekend it will be published in April.
UGH re engineering. I hate leaving stuff hanging to 12 weeks before. I want to get something locked in. What is the likelihood of significant disruption do you think?

So I looked into this just now (didn't even think of this myself!). I would consider it, honestly. But when I looked at the schedule for next, some were canceled, which was concerning. I think I'd rather be late via train than take the bus though. Good idea, in any case.

In the pandemonium of ticket buying and hotel booking and flight booking for son to fly from US to MAN, I failed to think about this. The queue really amped me up. Surely they also will have an opener or 3, so I can calm down.

This is the one I don't think I can do. Would have to ditch car in UK bc flying out of there to US after concert. Complicated. But you're right, it would be an option if all else fails. I think I want to book a refundable point air ticket as a back up plan.

Wholeheartedly agree.
