Does anyone know if there is a timeline for when they’re removing IFE, and is that the only change to be made to these planes? That’s one thing from AA I wouldn’t want any airline to copy… (though to be fair streaming isn’t much of a downgrade in this case)
I think the way the streaming is being rolled out is really confusing people who don't fly the CR9s much. FIN 708's IFE is inoperative on some seats but not others, but the streaming is already on, so the FA just said "it's off" without any further elaboration. At least with WS, people actually know/are used to that you have to get your own device out and connect, but on AC people are used to seatback entertainment and a lot of people just kept poking at their blank screens, obviously for naught.
