No luggage cart in the tram for sure.
You can certainly request wheelchair assistance in the terminal and see the modalities with them.
As I said, and knowing the additional info you just provided, the simples way IMHO is that you drop your wife with the luggages in T1. She sits with the luggages outside the terminal at drop-off point or inside the terminal. She waits for you there while you return the car in T2 and go back to T1.
