This would be for the die-hard NZ loyalists, but many would like the chance to use Air NZ 90% of the way to their European destination. I have used NZ1/2 to LHR a month before it was cut. It was a long, dreary flight with a miserable LAX transit stop. I had seen all of the films and listened to all the music I liked. But if NZ is serious about re-entering the UK market then top up traffic will certainly be offered to other European ports.
I remember my first ever flight on that. Never felt more like a prisoner than being shepherded and coralled in that transit area.
