The Hyatt Centric Lima is a rather nice hotel with a couple of ignorable faults. Here are my impressions and photos:
Pros:
- Bed is comfortable - two firm and two soft pillows, mattress is firm yet plush (feels like newer foam), covers are some minor weight and are not paper-thin
- Shower pressure is good (I used the wand)
- Very large bath towels
- Comfortable couch and arm chair
- Lots of outlets in the bedroom and bathroom
- Emailed and asked of my preference on welcome treats - asked for sweets and got a very nice assortment of sweets - including some local dulce de leche sandwich cookies
- Breakfast is good - very good cafe con leche, small buffet, made-to-order omelets and waffles / pancakes / french toast (all decent)
Neutral:
- Booked a King Delxue on points (same cost), and no upgrade received (no suites available online, but also placed right across from elevator)
- Front desk attitudes seemed a bit cold - didn’t seem to like my clarifying questions
Cons:
- Bad interior and exterior noise isolation - woken up by construction across the street at 7 AM, lots of hallway talking at various times
- Asked for 4 PM late checkout at check-in, but attendants called and came to my room to see when I was checking out at 1 PM
I would come back.
