Dear IAD GA - there is no such thing as “sky priority” boarding zone

Had a rather interesting boarding experience to ATL. Gate agent does preboards, active duty, 360. Then welcomes diamonds…and after a 15 second delay *thanks* all medallions.

I’m now PM and in first. I enquire if zone 1 is boarding since I’m not sure what to make of it. He’s only technically welcomed 360 and DM, he had already turned away someone in zone 8(Great job!).

He states: “I’m boarding sky priority right now, please wait.” At this point my patience is lost and I board. I mention sky priority doesn’t really exist anymore but he just nods and keeps going. All good.

This isn’t a huge deal, but the boarding process made me a bit confused as a PM MM. Is it being a diva to ask that Delta actually train their GAs when they roll
out these changes? Boarding is never consistent but this change is what - several months - old now? Can they at least train/grade their employees on knowing the boarding zones? It’s a core knowledge area for a GA.

Micro-rant over.
