In any case I suggest a car with an automatic transmission (I rented a Ford Puma Hybrid) and a full insurance coverage unless you have it offered by your credit card company.

I had asked the same thing myself when I made the reservation and was told that they do not make pickup for space reasons on the minivan they use for the shuttle service.
However it may be helpful to contact the concierge for more detailed information ([email protected])
In any case, this is the shuttle schedule provided to me by the hotel:

From the hotel to Amalfi : 9:30, 11:00, 16:00, 17:10

From Amalfi to the hotel : 10:00, 16:30, 17:45

From the hotel to Positano: 11:00, 17:10

From Positano to the hotel : 12:30, 18:30
(some rides from Amalfi to the hotel pass through Positano first, so the trip may take over an hour)

The Deluxe Terrace room is quite large but I don't think it can accommodate extra beds, so I assume you have to book two rooms, but always best to ask the hotel directly.

If you are not sure for this, I unfortunately cannot help you.

Answer as above, better ask the hotel

I would like to add a small final consideration. In the hotel apart from the pools, a small Gym and the Spa there is not much to do, just relax in the “dolce far niente” admiring the wonderful panorama. I might suggest the path to the Fjord of Furore, called Sentiero della Volpe Pescatrice (1200 steps) rather tiring to do under the sun, especially uphill on the way back, or the Sentiero dell'Amore towards Praiano (about an hour and less challenging).
Outside the hotel there is very little (apart from a small low-cost bar-restaurant at a two minutes walking distance) and without a car you do nothing.

Having made these considerations, my suggestion is to book a stay at the Grand Hotel Furore for only one or at most two nights, doing hotel life.
On the other hand, if you want to explore the area (spending little of your time in the hotel) I suggest a cheap B&B, perhaps even in Amalfi or Positano (which still costs around 200-300 euros per night).

It is so helpful. We reserved two rooms for two nights. Your advice help us make decision to keep our rental car there. Many many thanks!
