Many years ago, I had once asked a flight attendant friend regarding this matter as I had previously been seated next to someone whose odor made me nauseous for 5 hours. She said that I could have mentioned it to an attendant before the door closed and they could remove the person. The reason was "public nuisance." I forgot to ask her if it was real.
