FWIW, these big ship cruise lines aren't the luxury experience they (and media/influencers they pay off) make it out to be. I've pretty much sworn off them unless I can get a really really good deal to make it an excellent value proposition.
Even the upscale lines like Celebrity cut a ton, and the experience feels more like Royal in terms of service and food, but still without the kids or awesome physical activities. Their "Classic" drinks package is nearly worthless now, as it's still at "$9 per drink" as it was 7 years ago, but everything but a well drink costs more than that now. It's all about the upsells, even 'premium' options in the main dining room.
