and just to add ... 99% will earn just like UA flights based on dollar spent. There are non-MP partners that UA can sell segments on (like CX) that won't earn anything. On the grand scheme of things these are pretty rare. Essentially, if it is operated by a MP partner airline then it is near 99.9% that it will earn.
