On the subject of gate info generally, I frequently ask at checkin/bagdrop for the gate as the BA person knows it. I make it clear that I am not holding them to this and it is my responsibility to check. I generally get an answer well ahead of the airport or terminal screens and it is 80% of the time (I estimate) right...
