It just means that in late IRROPS, they're going to have to delay my rebooking so they can downgrade someone first. That's bad for 2 FFs.
Upgrades are processed 5 minutes after check-in closes. If check-in closes T-60 instead of T-45, that's 15 minutes earlier.
That is certainly true. The flip side is that much more often recently I've had to wait around after boarding started for my eUp to clear, and this makes that scenario less likely to occur, which is good.
