AF has already invested a tidy sum into the 772 sub fleet with the purpose of extending their life and stave off their conversion to freighters. The cabin upgrades are being done in two stages with the new business class and economy class cabins now almost completed. The upgrade to the PE cabins was originally planned as part of a full nose to tail refit but was split into a two stage refit because the Recaros were not ready in time.
