I would like to re-route the return leg of a flex ticket. I have completed the first leg. Initially CC stated once a trip has commenced, only dates can change. I sent an email and the response I got back is this:
Rerouting It is allowed for international open jaw trips for wholly Light, Flex, Family, ComfortFlex, Business Basic or Business tickets.
Because your ticket on the flights of you departure was issued in a Light fare Category while the return flights were issued in the Flex fare Category, rerouting is not possible.
Yes, my outbound was go-light (a glitch as I have not since been able to combine go-light with flex in one booking) but I don't see how that can impact the flexibility of my flex ticket? Any thoughts?
Separately I would like to re-route a second flex ticket so the two legs are identical but different dates. I have been told this is also not allowed and that there should be continuity, i.e. if the first leg arrives in Greece, the second leg should leave from Greece and not also arrive in Greece. This also sounds like nonsense.
Given Aegean charge for legs individually and there is no discount for booking return or multi-city, I am even more surprised at how I am not being allowed to amend either of these bookings.
As far as I can tell I am within my rights to re-route both these tickets. Does anyone know how I can encourage Aegean to make the changes? I have already tried HUACA a couple of times and am now discussing over email with them.
