Anecdotally from casually browsing reddit and facebook, it seems like there was some kind of trigger for mass deactivations over the last weekend...maybe related to the short time frame for account unlocks and lack of communications.

edit: Another 2? 3? business days later, and the email response comes in. Go figure.
