I've also got tangled up in this. Arriving at HKG at around noon, should have been flying HKG-KUL-MEL at 14:50. Now the flight to KL has been cancelled and they are suggesting the next day. Who's going to pay for hotel in HKG or KL?? Me I guess.

One option is to take the 19:15 to KUL and bunk up in the lounge until the 09:50 to MEL the next morning...arriving in the evening, so losing a day.

Does anybody know the situation at HKG regarding the transfer desk? Is it shared with CX or only manned before MH flights? At least from noon to 7 pm in the First lounge would be comfortable, but my guess is that I won't be able to get my boarding pass issued until the 19:15 flight check-in opens.
