Just did my first trip on TK. ATL-IST-PVG. Economy ticket, used Capital One points to get 65K miles on TK, and upgraded the first leg, 787, to Business. Sat in bulkhead economy seat on 777 for second leg.

I am 182 cm (6' and a little) tall.

787 Business class seat: Really impressed with the huge screen and colors, etc. But I was in 2A, direct aisle access,. Did not like the "wall" that wrapped around my left shoulder, restricting movement and mostly blocking my view out the window. Feet room was not very good. Slept well as the older I get, the easier time I have of sleeping on planes. But overall the feeling was quite restricted.

777 economy bulkhead, 23 F (?), I asked for exit row 24, and only after boarding realized it was 24 D, a middle section aisle which has row 23 ahead of it. No extra legroom.

24 ABC is exit with no row 23 in front of it, so great legroom. Anyway, attendant let me move up one row so middle section, right side aisle seat. Great legroom, but very narrow seats due to the screen in the armrest. Slept pretty well for sitting up.. recline was quite good for normal economy.

I took a good look at the Business seats on the way off the plane. In spite of the middle seats, etc, the seats still looked very inviting, like huge twin beds --- so, so much leg room, not a coffin etc. Reminded me of flying 20 years ago. I actually kind of wished I had so much room on my first leg instead of what I had on the 787. As much as privacy of the 787 is nice, the old style seats sure looked inviting.
