People booking direct with Hyatt instead of via an OTA is a good thing.
Some random people - often signed up to WoH at check-in - earning a few points that will expire unused is irrelevant. In fact, the more "breakage" the better.
No other hotel chains are running lucrative promotions. And Hyatt not handing out bonus points like candies at Halloween means the next devaluation is further away.
