I wouldn’t be surprised if the moving walkways and artwork or design work, were done to improve areas that staff frequent! It’s not just us customers that get improvements!!

The millions spent on deploying and maintaining two transit trains were a far greater cost than the moving walkways or graphic designs on the walls.

But yes I don’t disagree that if more used the walkways, this may help with the crowds on the trains. Like most infrastructure it’s built based on numbers and projections at the time, right?!15 years later perhaps HAL never predicted such traffic as it had in 2019 and today! I certainly prefer using them to the trains!
