Advantage of taking a ‘proper’ taxi is they can use the taxi-only lane at drop off. (The main drop off /kiss n’go lanes can get snarled up with abandoned vehicles triple parked.)
The journey to BCN is usually great though, the airport is super convenient for the city - and the city has some massive trunk roads that criss-cross it.
