I have called BA Gold line and they have resolved the issue and have managed to allocate the seats for me - hopefully. Interestingly, the seating plan the BA agent was looking at was 1-2-1 configuration, whereas SeatGuru was showing 2-2-2 configuration for the flight number. I hope the 1-2-1 is the correct plan.
