I can't believe someone who has a card marketed toward frequent travelers would expect to be able to manage his account and/or redeem points from outside the U.S. (/s in case anyone missed it)
It's pretty clear that Capital One is still not ready to play with the big names in the "Amex Platinum competitors" market. I would've cancelled mine a long time ago, but all the competitors charge for AU cards--my wife and I both use our Priority Pass memberships a lot on work trips, so Venture X is significantly cheaper than the others. Perhaps it's time to sock drawer the VX and get a 2% cash card from a credit union.
Thanks for validating my approach of redeeming points against travel expenses whenever the points hit $100, though.
