I was on a flight back from Lisbon recently. As usual, it was a remote stand. When the bus arrived and its doors opened a ground agent was repeatedly shouting “Rows 1-25 use the front steps, rows 26 and higher use the rear steps”. He was very clear and authoritative. The problem was that the aircraft only had 30 rows. So this resulted in less than optimal utilisation of the rear stairs…
