Am I right in saying that, if that's the only available seat tomorrow, that BA are obliged to rebook onto it regardless of what cabin was originally booked?
The UK261 legislations states that:
re-routing, under comparable transport conditions, to their final destination at the earliest opportunity
must be offered. If that one J seat is the earliest flight then BA are obliged to rebook onto it. I'd suggest kicking up a fuss if they refuse to, as legally I can't see how they can, and would surely lose if you took it to CEDR or to court.
