crazy that the gov't can sit and stay quiet then at the 11th hour, take away all strike rights

​​​​​​I would think a compromise of strike RIGHTS would be in order. Make a national transport provider continue essential service and routes ONLY. If AC is the only carrier YVR-YYJ, it continues. if there is competition between YYZ-NYC, or Canada-Germany, strikes allowed to all or negotiate to a max of 50% of their schedule.

The wet lease restriction listed in the above PDF are interesting. but that is preventative more than punitve (now that the sole AC Omni SFO wetlease ended.

Or get creative and hit AC where it hurts. Force them to zero out last minute (i.e. highest cost) ticket sales from T-72 to T-0 hours except for funerals. Prohibit any overbooking.

watering down labor rights should encurages young pilots to move to the US BEFORE they get too far in their careers, start families, etc.
