I am flying the HND-EWR route next week, and 10K was the only window seat available. It is in the 2nd biz class cabin and next to the galley, but hopefully that will not impact me too much. Will keep an eye on the seat map to see if a window seat opens up further up front.

This is the first time I am flying ANA, and looking at the seat map, it seems the window seats in row 1 are actually on either side of the galley. At least that is how it looks in the ANA seat map. That appears at odds with ANA blocking that seat as a special elite seat, as whoever sits there will have to deal with galley light and noise.
