Maybe Im lucky
Noticed on Saturday that my KUL-LGK booking has the red wording offering a change of departure/destination
The return flight was zero'd out and didn't appear in the MH booking system
Late Sunday night I called the MH premium line and after getting annoyed when I was told that its all ok and the flights not cancelled I was cut off or the call dropped
Called back and different agent looked at it and said it will be cancelled but it may take a day or so to be updated. I booked on a Z fare and the next flight was only an hour or so later. Problem was that there was no Z availability and he couldn't override it.
He said he would escalate and call back on Monday night (no call back). Was also advised once the cancellation is applied the RBD issue would go.
Checked today and found that the cancellation had applied and I had no issue selecting the flight I wanted despite there being zero Z class availability.
No cancellation notifications were ever received.
In te post covid recovery period there were a lot of cancellations to/from Singapore and only one time I had an RBD issue so called and quickly fixed it.
Based on feedback and personal experience many of teh staff are poorly trained and I also believe its an outsource operation
