I'm going to be booking a companion voucher flight soon from SFO to LHR, with an onward domestic to NCL.

Two potential options for the SFO to LHR flight, that seem to come up are:

• Club World - 100000 Avios - £475 tax
• First Class - 100000 Avios - £1,624 tax

Both options would be on the BA284 flight, departing SFO at 15:35 and arriving LHR at 10:05, which is operated by the A380.

I understand you don't need to pay extra to reserve a seat in First Class.
So by the time I have paid for seat selection on the Club World option, the difference is going to be about £1000.

I believe both options get the same lounge access at SFO.
But at LHR, where we will have about a four hour connection, I think the First Class option would give us access to the Concorde Breakfast Room (arrivals) and the Concorde Lounge (due to same day domestic flight).

What are peoples thoughts, is it worth paying an extra £1000?
