You would get the VAT inclusive price when placing a
取り置き order. At the pick up/checkout counter (usually the same unless it’s a huge store), just let the cashier know that you are eligible for tax free shopping and show them your documents. The price will then be adjusted to VAT exclusive.
Also double check the price when you pay to make sure you are paying the same price as indicated on your 取り置き notification email.
