You could buy a new one that is large enough to fit the old one (or one that is small enough to fit in the old one), or you check in the other one and take a tote bag on your first flight that you then stuff into your new carry-on. Or you bring for the last time and then throw away the 10 year old Samso that was already damaged.
Yeah I figured it was something like that, I am bringing a carry-on Rimowa (that is in good working condition) and a check-in trolley and am thinking of getting the same sized aluminum Lufthansa trolley, I was originally going to put the Lufthansa trolley in the check-in trolley because I don't want to throw away the Rimowa or buy a dedicated throwaway suitcase. It seems like in my situation, the best would be to have two separate flights, go landside and buy?
