I’m considering a family trip to Italy in 2025. Recently, I stumbled across some other blogs advising to avoid Rome and/or greater Italy in 2025 due to the expected additional tourist traffic.

I am considering travel in the first two weeks of April and am open to skipping Rome due to potential overcrowding. However, I don’t have a good sense if avoiding ALL Italy travel in 2025 is sensible or perhaps too cautious, especially for areas outside of Rome. Any thoughts from experienced FT Italy travelers?
