I also received the same upgrade you did at the Parkroyal Marina Bay. I loved the club lounge and the swimming pool there, so if those are things that matter to you then in my opinion the Parkroyal has the Kempinski beat. However, I think in virtually every other way I prefer the Kempinski. To be honest, I absolutely hated the bathroom in the Parkroyal. It felt out of place compared to the rest of the hotel, which was well appointed. I think they skipped over the bathroom when renovating the property.
