The only places I would recommend visiting in B.R. are the Rural Life Museum, the Louisiana Arts & Science Museum, USS Kidd (if interested), and the state capitol buildings (both 'old' and 'new', although the 'new' one is pushing 100). If you go to the State Capitol ask to see where the marble in the lobby was chipped from bullets fired at Huey Long's assassin.
Pre covid, I was there a lot for work. IF the OP goes (and as others say, probably worth skipping) add drive through LSU, see the stadium, visit the live tiger.
