I recently joined Miles & More and status matched to Senator status from Eurobonus Gold. I am just about to join my first flight (with Austrian) since joining and had a strange problem at check in, namely that although my booking had the correct M&M number and my status is showing as Senator on my account, my status did not pull through to my boarding pass, which still showed basic M&M member.
When I pointed this out (because I did not fancy being denied fast track entry when I saw the size of the queue for regular security at KRK), the lady at check in did eventually sort this out and reissue the correctly labelled boarding pass after much consultation with colleagues and use of multiple computer terminals.
I was wondering whether anyone else had encountered this and whether there was anything I could do on other forthcoming LH group flights to avoid this?
Could it be that you received a (temporary) 9920 M&M number which was used when booking your flight and after the status match you replaced this with your new 2220 SEN number? LH IT is notorious for this type of issue.
