Recently had a 5 night stay and would say the hard product of this hotel is up there with the best in the Bonvoy portfolio, just stunning finishes. Not sure why this resort doesn’t get more attention honestly, the rates are a fantastic value for the offering. Transportation was arranged several weeks ahead of arrival with guest services and the driver was timely. Was originally booked in a St Regis Suite with a balcony (base room), I reached out ahead of time to the butler staff regarding occupancy and an upgrade. I was upgraded to a Villa with a private pool pre-arrival. A welcome gift of (2) 30 min foot massages was offered. The breakfast buffet at Boneka was great, the lobster omelette was tasty but really enjoyed the local Balinese soups with some chili sauce. We tried all of the onsite restaurants and they were all very good and prices are reasonable for a resort, all kids menu items were under $10USD. We really enjoyed the meal at Dulang along with the show, the Luwak coffee was a treat. The grounds were well maintained and it was very typical to see many staff working by 8am everyday. We spent a lot of time in the saltwater lagoon and freshwater pool and there was never more than 2-3 other cabanas occupied. The gym was never busy, I ran everyday and saw 1 other guest, so plenty of equipment for the amount of use. The spa was excellent, although you must have a treatment booked in order to use the facilities. Used the vitality pool, steam, sauna and had a excellent 90 min deep tissue massage. The kids club was sufficient, but based on my kids reviews may have been the only shortcoming of this hotel. The nightly fire dance was fun and typically gathered a crowd of 20, mostly kids. The service was on par with expectations of the brand, many staff greeted you by name and everyone said hello. Overall, this resort is still stunning as it approaches 20 yrs old. I would definitely recommend and would return.
