A relative was booked on MH140 SYD-KUL on 29 Aug, which was cancelled, and put on the next day's flight - which doesn't work. Called up MH and was offered re-route on CX via HKG, but that would add an extra 7 hours' journey, which isn't ideal. In the end, cancelled for full refund, and booked Air Asia. Ironic that MH is shifting business to a low cost competitor.
