This thread is just about remote stands at DOH. The private BMW transfers at KUL between terminals is just a temporary measure while the aerotrain is getting fixed and that is just a short journey of less than 5 mins (compared to around 10-20 minutes with remote stands at DOH). Remote stands are almost never used at KUL and I'm not even sure they exist there - I've not seen or heard anyone using them at KUL.
