For folks that travel on AA even 4 times a year it's easily worth it. 2 guests or immediate family as well. greatest advantage I've had with the lounge is flght getting cancelled and heading straight to the lounge and not the doofus line at the gate that has 37 people in front of you or waiting on hold if you call in. Lounge will get you squared away much more pleasantly and quickly. I think the lounge membership (if that's still a thing?) in dependently is $600.
I didn't realize AU lounge access allows guests.
